The CLIC Sargent Charity provides complete care and support for children diagnosed with cancer and their immediate families, from the time of initial diagnosis of the disease through to cure.

As part of the treatment the charity is aided by voluntary organisations and individuals which provide fun days out and experiences for the children to enjoy. One of these events was recently held at the Henstridge air field where youngsters were invited to a fun packed day which included a flight in a light aircraft and demonstrations by Air Ambulance and RAF helicopters.

The club used the ocassion to present a cheque of £1000 to the charity. The money was raised by our scrap collecting team due solely to the generosity of Jeff Jarvis of GP Services, Henstridge, who kindly donated the scrap metal.

The weather was perfect and a thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all
