Changeover night is an annual event in the Rotarian calendar at which the club dines out the retiring president and welcomes into office the president elect for the coming year.
This year our changeover night dinner was held in the Tithe Barn of the Manor House at Hinton St Mary. Our thanks go to Mrs Anthony Pitt-Rivers who kindly allowed us to make full use of this wonderful old building.
Our rotarian wives and partners, led by Chris Brown, prepared a delicious meal which was served by an enthusiastic and very professional team made up of sons and daughters of Rotarians and their friends.
In a climax to the evening, outgoiing president, Martin Parrott handed over the chain of office to Ron Hill, who, in turn, handed over the office of president elect to John Vilton. In his retiring speech Martin echoed the sentiments of all members when he wished Ron a suuceesful and happy year in office.
